Why I'm Running for City Council

Walnut Creek is an incredible community, but we are at a turning point. Many residents feel we are on the wrong track as housing costs rise, traffic and safety worsen, and growth threatens the character that makes this city special. These challenges affect our daily quality of life and demand thoughtful, local leadership.

Why This Moment Matters

  • Cost of living pressures are growing.
Housing costs are pushing families and young people out of Walnut Creek.

  • Traffic and safety are daily concerns.
Congestion, cut-through traffic, and street safety affect neighborhoods across the city.

  • Growth is outpacing planning.
Residents worry that decisions are being made without enough balance or community input.

  • The next four years are critical.
City Council decisions will shape how Walnut Creek grows, how safe our neighborhoods are, and how we invest in shared community spaces.

What I’ll Focus On as a Member of the Walnut Creek City Council

  • Protecting quality of life.
Putting neighborhood livability, safety, and community character at the center of every decision.

  • Smart, balanced growth.
Planning housing and development thoughtfully so growth works for Walnut Creek, not against it.

  • Listening and collaboration.
Building consensus by listening to residents, respecting different perspectives, and working toward practical solutions.

  • Investing in what brings us together.
Supporting parks, libraries, arts, and public spaces that strengthen community connections.

  • Fresh, accountable leadership.
Bringing a community-driven approach that keeps decisions local and reflects Walnut Creek’s values.
